Rough week on Lake Erie this week as mother nature doesn't play nice. Although for the hardcore anglers braving muddy conditions and big waves walleye are being caught. The troll bite has slowed some (as expected with rough conditions) but big walleyes can always be caught trolling.  There's plenty of jig fish being caught around reefs (even in the muddy water).  The weather should improve over the weekend and look for the crawler harness and spoon bite to begin to take off.  We are fishing around Kelly's Island looking for pockets of cleaner water trolling both cranks and crawler harnesses.  Hang in as good...

Pre-spawn walleyes in Lake Erie's western basin have been committing suicide for the past week (April 8 - April13th) with the warm southern air and stable weather we've had recently. Suspended walleyes are being caught all around the reef complex (A can, B can, D can, &  F can area) using deep husky jerks, perfect 10's and reef runner crankbaits.  Running leads of anywhere from 50 back to 120 back (depending on the lure) have been targeting the 10 to 20 foot depths.
