Here is what we look for when targeting 10+ #walleye suspending in the western basin of #Lake_Erie...there appears to be 3 fish on the #Lowrance (2 suspended at 22-24 feet and 1 near bottom at 34 feet)...the mark furthest to the left (with the orange/yellow in it) is what you wanna look for!! Here we doubled and caught two high fish running our lures at the 20 foot mark! Should you find a group of these marks like the one on the left! Hold On! Despite the consistent cool northern wind pattern the past couple of weeks across Lake Erie, the walleye trolling bite has remained fairly consistent. Even though the bite has not been fast and furious overall, the larger average size of fish helps to make up for the sometimes long wait between bites. A wind shift to a warmer and consistent southern pattern would drastically help to improve the bite. The key for us has been to focus on trolling for "structure - oriented" walleye instead of trying to chase down "basin" fish. Areas with harder...
